Twitter Blue Subscribers Now Get Prioritised Rankings in Conversations, Replies and Search; Visibility of Spam, Bots Decreased

San Francisco, Dec 24: Micro-blogging platform Twitter has updated the list of features for its Blue service, which mentioned that subscribers paying for the $8 per month service will now get “prioritised rankings in conversations.”

According to Twitter, this feature prioritises subscribers’ replies on tweets that they interact with. Twitter CEO Elon Musk had promised this feature in November and said that the subscribers would get, “Priority in replies, mentions & search, which is essential to defeat spam/scam.” Twitter Blue Allows Video Uploads Up to 2 GB in Size, 60 Minutes in Length.

Earlier this month, the micro-blogging platform repeated this promise and said, “soon, subscribers with the blue checkmark will get priority ranking in search, mentions, and replies to help lower the visibility of scams, spam and bots.” ‘MrBeast’ Aka Jimmy Donaldson New Candidate for Twitter CEO! • Android Auto To Soon Get Touchscreen-Based Quick Replies for Messages

San Francisco: The US-based search engine giant Google has announced that Android Auto will soon add support for touchscreen-based quick replies for message notifications. Android Auto has supported sending notifications from various messaging apps, but it’s only offered the option to reply to those messages using voice. Android Auto App Reportedly Gets Dual-SIM Support.

Now, with the update Android Auto with support for Smart Reply, a feature that will allow users to send replies quickly using the touchscreen in their vehicle, reports 9To5Google.

Recently, Google rolled out an update for the Android Auto app that brings dual SIM support. With this update, Android Auto now shows a pop-up that lets users choose which SIM they want to make a call from. Earlier, it would automatically place the call using the default SIM regardless of the phone’s dual-SIM support.

Google first detailed dual SIM support coming to Android Auto back in September. At the time, the tech giant said that it would start rolling out the feature soon. Earlier, YouTube Music available on Android Auto also received one of its biggest redesigns adding navigation tabs and more. As a part of the YouTube Music 4.30.50 Android app, this redesigned interface for Android Auto is a “fairly major shift” from the old interface.

Twitter Testing Upvote & Downvote Buttons on Replies to Tweets: Report

New Delhi: Twitter is testing a new feature where users will be able to upvote and downvote replies on tweets, saying this is still not a ‘dislike’ button. Currently under testing with a select group of iOS users, the feature is available in various styles (up and down arrows, a heart icon and a down arrow, and thumbs up and thumbs down icons). Twitter Announces Improved Version of TweetDeck; Reportedly Testing New Features in the US, Canada & Australia.

“Some of you on iOS may see different options to up or down vote on replies. We’re testing this to understand the types of replies you find relevant in a convo, so we can work on ways to show more of them,” Twitter posted on Thursday.

“Your downvotes aren’t public, while your upvotes will be shown as likes,” the company informed. “Your downvotes are visible to you only and votes won’t change the order of replies,” the company said.

According to the micro-blogging website, the experiment is just a test for research right now and is not a “dislike button”. Twitter earlier experimented with ideas like reactions that appeared to mimic the emoji reactions Facebook uses for its posts. In November last year, Twitter product lead Kayvon Beykpour had said that the company is exploring a dislike button or a downvote capability. Beykpour said that dislike buttons or a downvote capability is “something we’re (Twitter) exploring”.
