Jennifer Aniston is the cover girl for Instyle’s September issue and she shared a few pictures from the shoot. One of the images has her wearing a classy brown and white abstract suit. • Facebook’s New Feature for Portal Lets Users Dress Up as Harry Potter Characters

Facebook’s New Feature for Portal Lets Users Dress Up as Harry Potter Characters

Washington, July 8: Facebook’s video calling device Portal is getting a ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ crossover that will allow users to dress up as characters from the play using augmented reality technology. As per The Verge, the AR masks that transform you into a character, which are powered by Facebook’s Spark AR technology, will also match your skin tone.

“Callers can fully embody the characters thanks to real-time skin sampling that matches the 3D character to your unique skin tone before converting it into an AR mask for seamless integration,” Facebook said.

Anyone can use the new feature by tapping ‘Curtain Call’ in the effects tray on Portal. You can then select one of three locations from the menu to visit: Hogwarts Great Hall, the Ministry of Magic or the Edge of the Forbidden Forest. Facebook Rolls Out New Features to Find Videos on Its Watch Platform.

When the lights come up, each person on the call will embody a character from the show with a unique spell, which is assigned randomly. Simply nod your head or tap the screen to cast it and watch as your friends marvel at the magic.

The feature works with Portal-to-Portal video calls for users in the US and UK. And if you don’t have a Portal device, “fans on Instagram and Facebook can still interact with the AR masks via each app’s camera and share video and photos via Stories,” according to the company.

Facebook has been ramping up its augmented reality efforts. It announced last September that creators would be able to make AR effects for Messenger and Portal in 2021. The company is also investing heavily in AR and VR devices, with nearly 10,000 employees reportedly working in its Reality Labs division.

  • Why isn’t Harry and Meghan’s son a prince?

Why isn’t Harry and Meghan’s son a prince?

Harry and Meghan’s son, seventh to the British throne, is Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

One of the most dramatic claims in Prince Harry and Meghan’s interviews with Oprah Winfrey was the allegation that her son was denied a royal title, possibly because of his skin color.

Harry and Meghan’s son, seventh to the British throne, is Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. In contrast, Harry’s older brother, Prince William, has children as Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Meghan said that when she was pregnant “they” – presumably Mahal – “were saying they did not want to make her a prince, which would be different from protocol.”

He said that it “cannot be titled to the first member of color in this family in the same way as other grandchildren would.”

    Was Archie sniffed?

Queen Elizabeth II has nine great-grandchildren, including Archie. He is not a prince and a prince, apart from Prince William’s three children, who are second in line to the throne and want to be king one day.

A decree issued by King George V in 1917 limited the title of Prince and Shehzade’s children, the Emperor’s sons, and “the eldest son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales” – Prince William, son of William George.

Bob Morris, from the Constitution Unit at University College London, said the regime was designed to reduce the increasing number of royal titles.

“Queen Victoria had nine children who were all princes and princesses, and then her children and further children, and George V took the idea … that something needed to be done to correct the situation,” he said .

The queen has the power to amend the rules, and in 2012 she decided that all the children of Prince William and his wife Catherine, not just the eldest, would be prince and prince.

Under George V’s session, Archie is not a prince, but will once become the grandson of a prince, the current heir of Prince Charles the King.

In her interview, Meghan said she was told that “they want to change the convention for Archie.” It is unclear what she was referring to, but Morris said that Prince Charles is known to “favor a small royal family” when he takes the throne.

Archie deserved a “courtesy title” at birth, such as Lord Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. At the time, it was reported that Harry and Meghan had chosen not to give him the title. But Meghan told Winfrey that “it was not our decision.”

Does the title affect Archie’s safety?

Meghan expressed concern that without a title, Archie was “not going to get protection.” But royal titles such as prince or princess do not automatically bring security protections. Full-time working royals – including Meghan and Harry – receive taxpayer-funded police outposts before relocating to North America last year. Senior Andrews who have jobs outside the family, such as Prince Andrew’s daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, do not.

    What does the palace say?

Buckingham Palace has not responded to specific allegations in the interview. In a statement, it said that “the issues raised, particularly those concerning race, are related. Although some memories may be different, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed privately by the family.”

  • Buckingham Palace ends silence on Harry, Meghan racism allegations

Buckingham Palace ends silence on Harry, Meghan racism allegations

The statement also said that “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

Buckingham Palace issued a statement on Tuesday, saying the family was “saddened” to learn of the struggles that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed this week — and that they would be taken very seriously.

The statement is the first comment by the palace following Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s two-hour television interview with Oprah Winfrey in which they alleged that Ms. Markle had experienced racism and callous treatment during her time in the royal family.

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning,’’ the palace said in a statement issued on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II. “While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.’’

The statement also said that “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

The palace often tries to stay above controversy by remaining silent and riding out the storm, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s charges were so damaging that the family had to respond.

Earlier, some observers had said that Buckingham Palace’s silence on the topic has only added to the furor surrounding the TV interview.

The interview, which aired Sunday night in the U.S. and a day later in Britain, has rocked the royal family and divided people around the world. While many say the allegations demonstrate the need for change inside a palace that hasn’t kept pace with the #MeToo and Black Lives Matter movements, others have criticized Harry and Ms. Markle for dropping their bombshell while Harry’s 99-year-old grandfather, Prince Philip, remains hospitalized in London after a heart procedure.

During the two-hour interview, Ms. Markle described feeling so isolated and miserable inside the royal family that she had suicidal thoughts, yet when she asked for mental health help from the palace’s human resources staff she was told she was not a paid employee. She also said a member of the royal family had expressed “concerns” to Prince Harry about the colour of her unborn child’s skin.

Ms. Winfrey later said Prince Harry told her off camera that the family member wasn’t Queen Elizabeth II or Prince Philip, sparking a flurry of speculation about who it could be.

Prince Harry also revealed the stresses the couple endured had ruptured relations with his father, Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, and his brother, Prince William, illuminating the depth of the family divisions that led the couple to step away from royal duties and move to California last year.

Prince Charles didn’t comment on the interview on Tuesday during a visit to a vaccine clinic in London.

Prince Harry’s father visited a church to see a temporary vaccine clinic in action and met with health care workers, church staff and people due to receive their vaccine jab. The visit was his first public appearance since the interview aired in the U.S. on Sunday night.

Maziya Marzook, a patient at the event, said ‘private matters didn’t come up at all during Charles’ visit.

“He didn’t bring up anything,″ Ms. Marzook said. “He was more interested in how the vaccine was and how we feel.”
