Flipkart’s Big Saving Days Sale will last until July 29, 2021 and it comes a day before the Amazon Prime Day Sale which is scheduled for July 26. The e-commerce company has also set up a dedicated microsite to provide a sneak peek of deals on phones and other products. Flipkart has partnered with ICICI Bank to offer a 10 percent instant discount via bank cards and EMI transactions.     Apple iPhone 12 which costs Rs 79,900 will be available for Rs 67,999. On the other hand, iPhone XR and iPhone SE will be offered from Rs 37,999 and Rs 28,999 respectively. Poco X3 Pro smartphone featuring 120Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 860 SoC that currently retails at Rs 18,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model will be made available at Rs 17,249. Realme C20 which currently costs Rs 6,999 will be offered at Rs 6,499.

    Samsung Galaxy F62 which is currently priced at Rs 23,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant will be made available at a discounted price. Flipkart has not revealed the exact pricing of the device yet.

    Amazon India’s Small Business Days Sees Record Sales for Over 84,000 Small and Medium Businesses

    Bengaluru, July 11: Amazon India’s recently held Small Business Days (SBD) has helped more than 84,000 Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) to bounce back from the economic disruptions caused by the second wave of Covid-19, the company said on Sunday. The three-day event was held between July 2 and 4. Of the 84,000, 68 per cent of the sellers were from non-metro cities like Kodagu (Karnataka), Dholpur (Rajasthan), Eta (Uttar Pradesh), Giridih (Jharkhand), Una (Himachal Pradesh) and Tinsukia (Assam).

    About 7,500 sellers received their highest single-day sale — an increase of over 2.8 times compared to the previous such SBD organised in December 2020. The number of sellers who grossed over Rs 1 crore grew six times over the previous SBD. Thousands of local shops participated in the event and 1,700 of them, from 125 cities in 23 states, received an order during the event. The Confederation of All India Traders has welcomed the judgement of the … – Latest Tweet by IANS Tweets.

    “As India tries to get back on track post the impact of the Covid-19 second wave, we are prioritising our efforts to help small businesses, artisans, weavers, women entrepreneurs and small local offline shops to bounce back from the economic disruption,” said Pranav Bhasin, Director, MSME and Selling Partner Experience, Amazon India, in a statement.

    “Towards this, we hosted Amazon Small Business Days and extended the event from a single day to three days to help generate more business for our sellers and help them bounce back. We are humbled by the customer response to the event as 84,000 plus sellers, including 1,700 small local offline shops, received at least one order during the event,” he added.

    During the SBD, customers from over 20,300 pin codes across the country shopped for unique and differentiated products offered by sellers, manufacturers, start-ups and brands, women entrepreneurs, artisans and weavers, and local shops.

    The top-selling products include food processors, organic honey, laptop tables, weighing scales, bluetooth earphones, yoga mats, face masks, jackfruit flour, onion-based hair-care products, among others.

    Some of the top-performing sellers were Quarant (3.1 times vs business as usual), Odisha Handloom (1.5 times vs business as usual), JH Gallery- Handicraft (1.8 times vs business as usual) and Zouk (1.1times vs business as usual). Amazon.in recently announced its annual Prime Day event that will be held in India on July 26 and 27, featuring two days of the best Prime has to offer.

    “Lakhs of customers supported SMBs during Small Business Days and as a token of gratitude for helping SMBs during these difficult times, Amazon has rolled out special Prime Day offers for Prime members. Members can shop from millions of unique products offered by SMBs and avail offers such as 10 per cent cashback up to Rs 150 on their Prime Day purchases,” Pranav said.

    “It is never ok to invade someone’s privacy and it’s very disrespectful. What happened is a big offence to me,” he added.

    In his statement, the actor also thanked his loved ones who helped take down the nude pictures from online portals. “I really wanna thank all of my online family for taking action against all the private images of me that leaked while I was working on set professionally,” he said.

    The photos of the actor which was leaked online even displayed his manhood and some pictures of him in different stages of undressing. According to the ETimes report, model Simone Susinna will be making his acting debut in the film.

    Abuja, June 4: Days after Twitter removed Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet from its platform, the Nigerian government on Friday announced that it was suspending Twitter operations across the country. The Nigerian government said the decision was taken as Twitter was being used for activities “capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.” Earlier, the Nigerian government had accused the U.S. technology company of double standards and supporting the secessionists in the west African country.

    In an official statement, the information ministry of Nigeria said the federal government had ”suspended’ Twitter indefinitely. This comes two days after the social media giant deleted a remark on President Muhammadu Buhari’s official account for breaking its regulations. In the deleted tweet, Buhari had made a reference to the country’s 30-month civil war in 1967-1970, warning “those who wanted the government to fail” to desist from fomenting trouble.

    On June 3, Information and Culture Minister Lai Mohammed took a swipe at Twitter after it deleted a tweet by President Muhammadu Buhari who issued a warning to troublemakers in Nigeria. “We have a country to rule, and we will do so to the best of our ability. Twitter’s mission in Nigeria is very suspect, they have an agenda. The mission of Twitter in Nigeria is very suspicious,” Mohammed said.

    San Francisco: Apple CEO Tim Cook has asked employees to return to office three days a week starting early September, as the tech giant begins to reopen its headquarters and other offices globally. Cook said that most workers will be asked to come in to the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the option of working remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays.     “For all that we’ve been able to achieve while many of us have been separated, the truth is that there has been something essential missing from this past year: each other,” Cook said in an email sent to employees. “Video conference calling has narrowed the distance between us, to be sure, but there are things it simply cannot replicate,” he added.

    Apple employees also have the chance to work remotely for up to two weeks a year, “to be closer to family and loved ones, find a change of scenery, manage unexpected travel, or a different reason all your own”. Cook also encouraged all employees to get vaccinated.

    Microsoft in April announced to delay the reopening of its offices till September, after it stated to slowly reopen Redmond, Washington-based headquarters and nearby campuses from March 29 with a six-stage hybrid workplace strategy. Microsoft, along with other tech giants like Apple, Facebook and Google, allowed its employees to work from home last year as the novel coronavirus pandemic spread in countries around the world. Google had said that employees who prefer to work remotely will also be able to do so until September 2021.

    The minute Virat Kohli posted this caption on Twitter, along with a video, viewers were piqued as to who this Rahul could be. Nobody expected it to be former Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid, who is currently the Director of Cricket Operations at National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru.

     

    Dravid, who was known for his calm and composed demeanour on the pitch, is also popular for his nice guy image off it.

    Remember the now-iconic MTV Bakra prank from decades ago when a young journalist proposes to marry him? Instead of losing his cool or freaking out, Dravid tries to patiently make her (and later, her fake dad) understand the situation, before it is finally revealed that he’s being caught on camera. The video, which is on YouTube, constantly trends every year as fans keep sharing it as an example of how sportspersons should behave with their fans.

    However, the new video posted by Kohli revealed a hilarious, hitherto-unseen side to Dravid, that has now become the toast of social media.

     

    In a commercial for a credit card payment app, Dravid is seen stuck in a traffic jam somewhere in Bengaluru. Visibly frustrated at being late to an appointment, he loses it completely, throwing coffee cups at other drivers’ car windows, banging on his steering wheel, and even taking a cricket bat to destroy the side-view mirrors of vehicles next to him (!). Finally, he appears out of the sunroof, with a bat in tow to yell, “Indiranagar ka gunda hoon main!” (I am the don of Indiranagar), as everyone on the street stares at him.

    Kohli’s tweet and the video has gone viral since, as fans across the world, especially those in Bengaluru, resonated with his emotions at being stuck in traffic — and the fact that it’s the nicest guy in world cricket, makes it all the more so amusing.

    Did we ever think ‘Jammy’ (from his Kissan jam days) would transition into Indiranagar ka gunda over the years? It’s what social media truly needed during the pandemic.
