    Mumbai, November 10: Humane, founded by ex-Apple executives, announced a new high-tech AI projector called “Ai Pin” that can be worn on clothing. The Ai Pin projector from Humane is said to replace your smartphone as it has no screen but runs on voice commands and hand motions. The new device from Humane will run on US-based T-Mobile network and will cost $699 (approximately Rs 58,213).

    According to reports, first the wearable device was unveiled during TED Talk in May. After six months, the company officially announced its wearable AI projector and named it “AI Pin”. So far, the device but it sounds more like a smartphone without having a screen.     Humane “Ai Pin” Wearable AI Projector, A Smartphone Without Screen:

    Ai Pin by Humane has a green laser projector that projects the holographic information on your hand. It can recognize the objects before you place them with the help of its camera. It is a very small square device that can be fitted on the palm of your hand. Human AI Pin, according to the reports, will have access to the Microsoft and OpenAI using the T-Mobile Network. The device does not listen or record voice commands like “Google’s Virtual Assistant” or “Apple’s Siri”, instead the users have to manually trigger it.

    According to the reports, the device can display texts, monochromatic images, on user’s hand. AI Pin will be available in the United States from November 16, confirmed by the official website. Human Ai Pin works with voice and hand motions. The reports say that the device will only work if the user interacts with it.   • Sony PS5 New Beta Update Brings Voice Commands & UI Changes

    New Delhi: Sony has released a new beta update for the Playstation 5, which introduces new features such as improved settings menu UI along with a new voice assistant.     The voice command preview will only be available in the UK and the US, but it is likely that it will be available globally once the feature is out of the beta stage. Players selected to participate in the betas will receive email invitations when the updates are available to download.

    It will allow players to open apps, games, and settings on their consoles with a simple voice command. There will also be changes introduced to party chats. Voice chats are now called “Parties” and users will get to choose to open a party to enable other players to join without an invite.

    There are two sorts of parties now available on both PS4 and PS5 which are called open parties and closed parties. In the open party feature, anyone who is a friend on Playstation can join. Similarly, in closed parties, only selected players with an invite can join. PS5 also gets a few UI-based updates with the beta update, which now allows users to filter the game collection by genre, and more.

  • Microsoft Disables Series of Commands in Excel 4.0 To Protect Users From Hackers

    New Delhi: Microsoft has disabled a series of commands in Excel 4.0 to protect customers against security threats especially ransomeware. In July 2021, Microsoft has released a new Excel Trust Center setting option to restrict the usage of Excel 4.0 (XLM) macros (a series of commands). Microsoft Reportedly Adding Support for Hyperlinks Feature to Excel.

    “As planned, we have now made this setting the default when opening Excel 4.0 (XLM) macros. This will help our customers protect themselves against related security threats,” the tech giant said in a blog post.

    “State-sponsored and cybercriminal attackers started experimenting with legacy Excel 4.0 macros in response to Microsoft in 2018 cracking down on macro scripts written in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA),” reports ZDNet.

    Te aim is to safeguard customers from ransomware and other malware groups using Excel 4.0 macros. Administrators can also use the existing Microsoft 365 applications policy control to configure this setting. Administrators also have the option to completely block all XLM macro usage (including in new user-created files) by enabling the Group Policy, “Prevent Excel from running XLM macros”, which is configurable via Group Policy Editor or registry key.
