    On Tuesday, the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat took to Twitter and said that Dr Hasan Safin tweeted about a patient whose right knee has been covered by small bandage and compared it with above knee slab picture of same patient. The government said that the decision was taken by competent orthopedician of the civil hospital, Morbi after carefully and diligently studying progress of the patient. In another tweet, the Gujarat government said, “Obviously if the concerned doctors feels that some changes are to be required & additional bandaging/additional splintage is required so according treating doctor changed bandaging and there is nothing peculiar/wrong practice about it.     Interestingly, the doctor had shared tweet of ANI where a patient, who got injured in the Morbi bridge collapse in Gujarat can be seen lying on hospital bed when PM Narendra Modi comes to meet him.

  • PhonePe Clarifies UPI Money Transfers, Offline & Online Payments Are Free: Report

    New Delhi, Oct 26: India’s leading digital payments platform PhonePe on Tuesday clarified that all UPI money transfers, offline and online payments (across UPI, wallet, credit and debit cards), on the payment app are free, and they will continue to be free for all users. The company said that PhonePe does not charge for these transactions, and will not be doing so in the future also. PhonePe Gets IRDAI License To Serve As Direct Insurance Broker.

    “For mobile recharges, PhonePe is running an experiment where a small section of users are being charged a processing fee of Rs 1 for recharges of Rs 51-100 and Rs 2 for recharges above Rs 100,” the company said. “This charge is applicable for users across all payment instruments (across UPI, wallet, credit and debit cards).A Recharges below Rs 50 are totally free,” it added.

    For bill payments, PhonePe charges a fee on payments by credit cards and this is now an industry norm and is common for many payment apps and biller platforms. The company recently announced assured cashback up to Rs 50 on prepaid mobile recharges. The company said that users recharging via the PhonePe app will win assured cashback on completion of three prepaid mobile recharges, above Rs 51.

    PhonePe has over 325 million registered users. Users can send and receive money, recharge mobile, DTH, data cards, pay at stores, make utility payments, buy gold and make investments via this platform. PhonePe forayed into financial services in 2017 with the launch of Gold providing users with a safe and convenient option to buy 24-karat gold securely on its platform. The platform is also accepted at over 22 million merchant outlets across India.

    Cadbury Clarifies on Beef Controversy, Says ‘Products Manufactured & Sold in India are 100% Vegetarian’

    New Delhi, July 19: Following an uproar on Twitter demanding to boycott Cadbury products, after a screenshot of website indicating that the company uses beef in its products went viral, the British MNC on Monday clarified that the viral screenshot is not related to Mondelez- its owner company- or Cadbury products manufactured in India. It further stated that all products manufactured and sold in India are 100 per cent vegetarian.     “As you can well imagine, negative posts like these, damages consumer confidence in our well-respected and loved brands. We request our consumers to please verify facts related to our products before sharing them further,” Cadbury Dairy Milk said in a tweet.     The controversy broke out of Twitter after a screenshot of its website saying, “Please note, if any of our products contain gelatine in the ingredients, the gelatine we use is halal certified and derived from beef,” went viral prompting people in India to call out for a boycott of Cadbury products. However the company has clarified that the viral screenshot is not related to its products manufactured in India.

    Cadbury is a British multinational company owned by Mondelez International. It is widely popular in India too and hold a large market share. The company has been in the market for almost two centuries, its first manufacturing factory was established by John Cadbury in 1831.

    PUBG’s Indian version ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ ran into a controversy a few days ago when a report from IGN emerged online claiming that the online game is sending players’ data from an Android device to a server in China. The report highlighted that the data was being sent to Tencent-run Proxima Beta in Hong Kong as well as Microsoft Azure servers located in Mumbai, the US and Moscow.     In a statement, Krafton has said that it is fully aware of the recent controversy over data handling in regards to Battlegrounds Mobile India early access version. Like other global mobile games and apps, it also uses third-party services to bring unique features to the game.

    While using these services, some game data was shared with third parties. It is important to note that Krafton’s privacy policy fully reveals that the app may transfer some user data to migrate their accounts from PUBG Mobile to BGMI.

    Krafton also reportedly assures to monitor and protect players’ data if it is transferred to an unrecognised and restricted IP address ahead of the game’s launch.

    The company has also now released a small automatic update that can be downloaded when one boots the game’s early access version. This update reportedly prevents the data from being transferred to a Chinese server.
