BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari filed his nomination from Nandigram seat on March 12 where he will contest the upcoming assembly elections against Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee.
Mr. Adhikari filed his papers after a km-long roadshow at the subdivisional office in Haldia.
Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Smriti Irani attended the rally, before Mr. Adhikari filed his nomination papers.

Mr. Adhikari won the Nandigram seat as TMC candidate in 2016 by 67% of the votes, defeating his nearest rival CPI by a margin of 81,230 votes.
