Spectrum forbidden start from Tokyo Olympic torch relay: Organizers

On Monday, organizers said the organizers would have stopped the start of the Tokyo-Olympic torch relay. A Tokyo 2020 statement said, “The first segment of the Grand Start ceremony and the Fukushima Torch Relay … will not be open to the public, but will be broadcast live through the Tokyo 2020 official channel.”

The announcement comes forward on the decision whether fans from overseas will be allowed to enter Japan for the coronavirus-delayed games that are expected to be taken before the torch relay begins on March 25.
