Talking to Specific.co.uk concerning the outage, a Sky spokesperson mentioned: “Sky Information briefly went off air as we speak because of the constructing being evacuated for a precautionary hearth alarm on the Osterley studios. The channel is now again on air.”
The Sky Information technical points got here after Russian-backed information channel RT disappeared from all UK broadcast platforms final week.
RT was taken down mid-way by a broadcast as a wide-range of sanctions and different measures launched in response to Russia’s conflict on Ukraine hit.
As a part of the response sanctions have been positioned on Russian banks, oligarchs in addition to Vladimir Putin himself.
