Prime Video is the only place to watch this autumn’s 17 rugby internationals. The Amazon-owned streaming service, which competes with the likes of Disney+ and Netflix, costs £5.99 a month to subscribe. As well as the Autumn Nations Series, Prime Video streams a number of tennis tournaments, including the US open, Premier League games, Hollywood blockbusters, and boxsets. Amazon commissions its own exclusive series too, like critically-acclaimed The Boys and Clarkson’s Farm. If you don’t fancy paying for both Netflix and Prime Video – don’t worry, you can watch all of the above for free. That’s because Prime Video is currently available for FREE for 30-days with no obligation to continue your contract after that.
Prime Video will be broadcast every one of Wales, England, Scotland, France and Italy’s matches in Autumn Nations Series this year. For the first time, Welsh language provision will also be provided by Amazon, which means you won’t find any coverage of the games on S4C. Ireland’s games will be shown on RTE for now, before becoming part of Prime Video in 2022.
Prime Video is available on a wide range of devices, including iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets, as well as a huge number of streaming gadgets, like Amazon’s Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast with Google TV, BT TV, Sky Q, Sky Glass, Virgin Media TV 360 and Talk Talk TV, to name a few. A number of the most popular Smart TV brands ship their models with a Prime Video app already installed, including Samsung and LG.
If you’re already an Amazon Prime member, there’s no need to subscribe to Prime Video. Amazon’s annual membership scheme, which costs £7.99 a month or £79 a year, includes a number of benefits, like free next-day shipping on thousands of items (and same-day shipping in some areas of the country), unlimited cloud back-up for your photographs via Amazon Photos, free eBooks to read on Kindle, a limited number of tracks to stream at no cost via Prime Music, and more. One of the other benefits of a Prime membership is unlimited access to Prime Video.
The last Autumn Nations Series fixture to be broadcast on Prime Video is November 20. If you sign-up to the 30-day free trial today, you’ll be able to stream all of the remaining matches without paying a penny. As long as you cancel before the 30-day period is over, you won’t be charged a penny.
