Settlement of 199 applications, before the minister’s stay in the village

R. Tomorrow to visit Chabbi village in Ashok Dharwad district

Revenue Minister R. Accompanied by Ashok on Saturday to visit the village of Chabbi in Dharwad district for a ‘stay in the village’ program, the village was visited and various applications of the residents were disposed of by the district administration.

Addressing the press conference in Hubli on Thursday, Dharwad Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil said that before the Revenue Minister’s ‘stay in the village’ program, the officer had collected applications and memoranda from the residents of the village on a number of issues. “We have so far collected 266 applications from residents and 199 of them have been disposed off. 48 applications belong to the Department of Revenue, ”he said.

Giving information about the events to be held on Saturday, Mr. Patil said that the minister will distribute assistance, vehicles, tool kits and accessories during his visit to the village.

He said that the residents had demanded additional bus services and their application was forwarded to the NWKRTC authorities. His other demands include setting up a high school, finding solutions to the problem of wastes released from the local tank, and highway issues. He said that steps were taken to resolve their problems at the earliest.

Shri Patil said that there was a festival like atmosphere in the village and the villagers were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the minister. Mr. Ashoka would be given a traditional welcome upon his arrival in the village, with women taking out ‘Purna Kumbh’ and colorful processions with folk artists. The minister will listen to the grievances of the people in the local Ambedkar Bhavan. He said that he would stay in the village overnight.

The Deputy Commissioner said that Mr. Ashok, during his stay in the village, would hand over 6.5 acres of land sanctioned for the Ambedkar Hostel in Shreyaad village.

He said that he will dedicate ‘Nadakacheri’ built in Chabbi village at a cost of 20 lakhs to the public. Tehsildars Shashidhar Madayal and Prakash Nashi were present.
