Serie A: Lutaro Martinez’s late strike inter inter meet nine points clear, Roma Fall et Karma

Lutaro Martínez scored Inter Milan nine points at the top of Serie A with a five-minute gap with a 2–1 win over Torino on Sunday. But Roma’s Champions League push suffered a setback after a 2–0 defeat, threatening Perma, which ended their 17-match winnerless streak. Antonio Conte’s Inter once again required his strike duo of Romelu Lukaku and Martinez to find a way into a tough encounter in Turin. Christian Eriksen came off the bench after 56 minutes and made an immediate impact, playing a part in the move that resulted in Torino defender Armando Izzo fouling Martinez in the penalty area.

Lukaku then scored his 19th goal of the season by chance in the 62nd minute.

Inter looked faltering when Antonio Sanabria pulled Torino level eight minutes later to end the rebound in the scuffle in front of the Inter goal.

But Martinez snatched this win by getting his head to Alexis Sanchez’s cross for his 14th league goal.

Despite taking out Kovid-19, and captain Andrea Bellotti, Torino threatened with a Lanco header in the first half that he would hit the post after clearing from the inter line with Lukaku.

However, Inter extended their match to eight to advance to AC Milan, who host Napoli later on Sunday, and 13 champions ahead of champions Juventus who travel to Kagaliari.

Parma registered their first win since 30 November after falling to Roma fifth due to injury, two points behind Atalanta and 19–0 2–0 on their Champions League berth.

Valentin Mihila opened the scoring nine minutes later after a cross from fellow Romanian Dennis Mann.

Hernani added a second from the chance after 54 minutes, which drives Perma, a point behind Toro, who has played two games short due to his coronovirus outbreak, and three from safety.
