Samsung Galaxy Unpacked August 2021 will be different as this year there will be no Galaxy Note series. The company made the announcement earlier this year. However, there are other exciting devices that are set to debut at today’s event. These include new additions to the company’s high-end line of folding Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip.
Speculations suggest that both the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 will come with new specifications including screen and camera. Speculations also suggest that Galaxy Z Fold 3 will get Note’s exclusive stylus features. Samsung has also promised enhanced durability for both the upcoming Fold and Flip phones. Both the phones are likely to run on Qualcomm’s fastest SoC Snapdragon 888. Both the phones are also likely to come with IP68 rating.
Google, Samsung to take on Apple Watch with new Galaxy Watch
Samsung will announce smartwatches, likely to be called Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The duo will be the first product to launch since Samsung and Google announced smartwatch partnership earlier this year. The duo will be the first watches to take Google’s Wear OS 3 to users. Wear OS 3 is based on the collaboration between Google and Samsung that was announced in May at Google IO 2021. With this Samsung is abandoning its custom OS for wearables, Tizen.

Samsung’s next set of true wireless earbuds — the Galaxy Buds 2 — may also arrive. There are not much details available about the specs except that they will come with better noise reduction feature. New colours too are speculated in Galaxy Buds 2. As per Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filings, spotted by XDA-Developers, the device charging case has a 500mAh battery, and each earbud will have a 60mAh battery.
