NEW DELHI: Samsung is all set to launch its next generation foldable smartphones next week. The company has scheduled its Galaxy Unpacked event for August 11, where it will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones. Now ahead of the official launch, full specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 3 along with the new renders surfaced online.
German website WindeFuture, has shared the new renders and full list of specifications of the upcoming foldable smartphone from Samsung. As per the German website, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to run Android 11 operating system topped with company’s own layer of One UI 3.1. The foldable smartphone is also said to get Android 12 update.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to sport a 6.7-inch internal display with 1080×2650 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The clamshell design foldable smartphone is also said to house a 1.9-inch external screen with 260×512 pixel resolution. The glass back which will fold in half is rumoured to be protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass Vitus.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. The foldable smartphone is said to come in two variants — 128GB and 256GB. The is said to sport a dual rear camera with 12MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 12MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and fixed focus. The inside screen is expected to house a 10MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture.
The smartphone is said to come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and IP68 rating which will make the smartphone water-resistant. The dual SIM smartphone is expected to pack a 3,300 mAh battery and is said to weigh 183 grams.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to come in Phantom Black, Cream, and Lavender colour options. The report also adds that Samsung has tested the hinge mechanism of the smartphone 200,000 times. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to be priced at €1099 (US$ 1,305 / Rs 1,67,620 approx.).
