NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung is all set to launch its new pair of true wireless earbuds. The company is expected to launch the Galaxy Buds 2 at the company’s next Galaxy Unpacked event likely to take place next month. Now, the yet to launch pair of true wireless earbuds appeared on the Galaxy Wearable app.
A developer dug deep into the upcoming app update and extracted some interesting information about the Galaxy Buds 2. The developer revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will come with active noise cancellation.
The findings also suggest that the Galaxy Buds 2 users will also be able to use active noise cancellation when using just one earbud. This feature will enable users to have better sound quality during calls.
It is also expected that the company might bring the same feature in Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds Live with future updates. Samsung will enable the users to individually enable or disable touchpad actions like tap, double tap and triple tab on the Galaxy Buds 2.
The app findings also revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will also come in a yellow colour option. The earbuds will also house 61 mAh battery each and 472 mAh battery in the charging case.
The Galaxy Buds 2 are said to come with an 11mm driver unit which will offer an enhanced bass experience. Samsung is expected to price the Galaxy Buds 2 at $170 (Rs 12,690).
In related news, Samsung grabbed the second position in the wearable market in Q1 2021. According to a recent IDC report, Samsung captured the second position in the wearable segment after Apple. The company shipped a total of 11.8 million wearable devices in the quarter. The category includes smartwatches, fitness bands and true wireless earbuds.
Samsung witnessed 35.7% year-over-year growth in the global market in Q1 2021.
