South Korean technology brand Samsung has launched a mid-range smartphone — called Samsung Galaxy A22 — in India. The device offers specs consistent with competition as it features a 5000mAh battery, quad rear camera and more.

The smartphone has been launched in a single storage variant that has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is priced at Rs 18,499. At this price, the handset competes with Realme 8 Pro (Rs 17,999 onwards), Redmi Note 10 Pro Max (Rs 19,999 onwards) and more.
As part of the launch offer, Samsung is giving a flat discount of Rs 1,500 on purchases made via HDFC Bank credit and debit cards.
The device can be purchased via offline and online channels.
Samsung Galaxy A22 specs
Running on OneUI 3.1-based on Android 11 out-of-the-box, the Samsung Galaxy A22 smartphone offers a display of 6.4-inch HD+ screen of 720x1600p resolution with a water drop notch.
The Samsung Galaxy A22 smartphone comes powered by MediaTek Helio G80 processor. On the storage front, the device offers 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. For those who want more, they can install a microSD card support of up to 1TB.
For imaging duties, the Samsung Galaxy A22 has a quad-camera setup on the back. The rear camera comprises a 48MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultra wide angle camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth camera. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera.
Backed by a 5000mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy A22 is said to deliver up to 38 hours of talk time and up to 25 hours of internet usage time.
Measuring 159.3 x 73.6 x 8.4mm and weighing 186 grams, the Galaxy A22 smartphone can be purchased in Black and Mint colour options.
