Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is official. The company has today launched a new smartphone in its Galaxy A-series lineup in India, making it the first 5G-enabled handset for the series.
With the Galaxy A22 5G, Samsung is offering support of 11 bands for 5G experience, along with a two year OS upgrade guarantee.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A22 5G in two storage models. The base model offers 6GB RAM and costs Rs 19,999. The second model that offers 8GB RAM is priced at Rs 21,999. Both variants pack 128GB internal storage.
Interested buyers will be able to buy the handset from both online and offline channels.
In terms of launch offers, Samsung is offering cashback of Rs 1500 on purchase of Galaxy A22 5G.

At this price, Samsung Galaxy A22 5G faces competition from Xiaomi Mi 10i (available at Rs 20,999 onwards) and Realme X7 5G (Rs 19,999 onwards). In house, it faces competition from Galaxy M51 (Rs 21,999 onwards), Galaxy F62 (Rs 23,999 onwards).
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G specs
The Galaxy A22 5G offers a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate. It comes powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which Samsung claims leads to delivering smooth multitasking and reduced power consumption.
Storage wise, buyers get two options of 8GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB, however, there is a microSD card support of up to 1TB with the handset.
For imaging duties, the Galaxy A22 5G has a triple rear camera of 48MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the front there is an 8MP sensor.
Backed by a 5000mAh battery, the Galaxy G22 smartphone comes with 15W fast charging support.
The device runs on Android 11-based One UI Core 3.1 out of the box and as mentioned above, Samsung promises to roll out two years of OS upgrades with it.
Buyers get to choose from three colour options — Grey, Mint and Violet.
