In an alleged road rage case, two youths were stabbed to death on Tuesday morning during a chase at Paschim Vihar in outer Delhi.
Two, including a minor, have been apprehended.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (External) A Koan said the victims have been identified as Rohit Aggarwal (23), Shiv Ram Park and Ghanshyam (20) of Begusarai, Bihar.
The accused have been identified as Pradeep Kohli, a resident of Camp No. 4 Jwalapur and a 17-year-old minor.
An official said that police received a PCR call at 1.30 pm, stating that two persons were lying on the road near Udyog Vihar Metro Station. Police reached the spot and rushed the injured to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, where they were declared brought dead. Subsequently, a murder case was registered under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
During the investigation, a CCTV footage was obtained in which the accused can be seen beating the couple and then stabbing them multiple times.
In the video, a person can also be seen witnessing the incident.
During further investigation, it was found that while the victims were crossing Camp No. 4 on their scooty, the vehicle brushed in front of the accused’s bike, leading to an argument between them, which later turned violent.
Police said the accused chased the victims for about half a kilometer.
With the help of technical and human intelligence, Mr. Conn said the accused were identified and held within hours. Weapons and bike weapons were recovered from them.
Rohit used to help his father at his utensil shop in Nangloi and Ghanshyam was a laborer. Police said that Pradeep is a laborer at a scrap shop in Bahadurgarh.
