Rishabh Pant was seen wearing a Liverpool jersey in a picture of Team India posted on social media on Wednesday and the English Premier League club responded to his tweet and praised him for Pant. “Loving the shirt,” Liverpool wrote. In the picture, Pant is seen alongside teammates Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya as the team spent their days in Pune after the first ODI against England.

India beat England by 66 runs in the first ODI to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

The second match will be played at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Friday followed by a third match at the same venue.

Before the second ODI, England captain Eoin Morgan dropped out of the series due to a hand injury.

Middle order batsman Sam Billings was also ruled out of the second ODI after suffering an injury to his collar bone while fielding in the first ODI.

Jose Butler will lead England in Morgan’s absence and Liam Livingstone will make his ODI debut at the England and Wales Cricket Board on Friday.

KL Rahul did not wear gloves in the first ODI.

Rahul scored an unbeaten 62 runs and combined with Krunal Pandya to help India score 317 runs on ODI debut. Krunal scored 58 runs in 31 balls and hit the fastest half-century on debut in just 26 balls in ODI history.

England will take the field with the series on Friday and keep the series alive while India wrap things up with a win.
