Realme MagDart: What we know so far
Last week, there were reports about the Realme MagDart. The reports revealed not only what the product may look like but also what the specs and features users should expect.
Realme MagDart is said to be a magnetic wireless charger — and said to work pretty much the same way as Apple’s MagSafe works.
A report by Gizmochina last week had claimed that the Realme MagDart is expected to be launched in two variants — both of which are said to offer varying charging supports.
The minimum charging support on the MagDart is said to be of 15W as there is no information on how much the other one will offer.
Going by the alleged name of Realme MagDart, it is likely that Realme offers similar technology support as Apple does with its MagSafe.
Apple’s MagSafe charger
Apple MagSafe was launched as a new accessory for the iPhone 12 models. These are easy-to-attach accessories optimised for new iPhones.
The MagSafe charger from Apple is said to be able to magnetically attach to the back of the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Notably, magnetic support is offered only for the latest iPhone series. For iPhone 8 or later, which also offer wireless charging support, MagSafe Charger acts as a Qi-enabled charging device.
MagSafe features an array of magnets around the wireless charging coil optimised for alignment and efficiency.
