Rashford and Saka ruled out of upcoming England matches vs Albania and Poland

England have confirmed that Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka will miss the team’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Poland due to injury.

Both players were eliminated on Thursday as the Three Lions began their qualification campaign with a 5–0 win over San Marino.

And the FA have now confirmed Manchester United and three days later Sunday and Poland will no longer feature the stars of Manchester United and Arsenal.

“Rashford reported to St. George’s Park with an injury that ruled him out of a 5–0 win against San Marino and upon further assessment, it was decided that he would continue his rehabilitation with Manchester United Will keep

“Saka remains in the arsenal for further evaluation on an ongoing issue with hopes of joining the Three Lions, but will no longer be available for fixtures against Albania and Poland.”

How were Rashford and Shaka injured?

Rashford injured his leg on Manchester United’s AC Milan last week.

The FA Cup did not feature a striker over the weekend against Leicester City, and joint owner Ole Gunnar Solaskar admitted Rashford was “not close” to play in the game.

Meanwhile, Shuck suffered a hamstring injury against Tottenham on 14 March, but he was able to play 74 minutes in Arsenal’s 3-3 draw with West Ham on Sunday.

Will this pair miss the game for their clubs?

It is not clear whether Rashford and Saka will be in contention after the international break.

Manchester United are back next Sunday with a league match against Brighton, while the Gunners will face Liverpool a day earlier.
