The Punjab Kings created a furore over the purchase of Tamil Nadu batsman Shah Rukh Khan in a mini-auction before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. The batsman is named alongside Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, who co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings. Co-owner Preity Zinta was seen teasing the actor’s son Aryan as “Hum Shahrukh” at the auction. On Sunday, the Punjab Kings shared a video of the batsman hitting a fine pull shot in training, and teased Shah Rukh Khan’s nickname “King Khan” in the caption.

In the video, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen sending a short delivery to the scavengers, as he hits a pull shot with fingernails on the back.
Shah Rukh, who was impressed with his big hit in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, was auctioned by the Punjab Kings for Rs 5.25 crore.
Punjab Kings bought nine players in the auction.
Punjab has amassed a huge amount of money on two Australian players who want to play in the T20 league right now. Jhe Richardson was bought for Rs 14 crore, while his fellow Australian fast bowler Riley Meredith received a deal for Rs 8 crore.
He ranked Twenty20 international batsman David Malan at number one for his base price of Rs 1.5 crore.
Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques will also play for Punjab in the upcoming edition of the franchise-based tournament as he gets Rs 4.2.

The KL Rahul-led team also invested in West Indies all-rounder Fabian Allen and Indian uncapped players Jalaj Saxena, Saurabh Kumar and Utkarsh Singh.
Punjab Kings will make their season debut against the Rajasthan Royals on April 12 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
