The Election Department organized an orientation program for individual members and their parents on the postal voting system at Sathya Special School on Thursday.

The session also featured a live video tutorial.
According to Election Department officials, the polling station officer will issue the postal application form (Form 12D), which should be filled and submitted along with a copy of the authorized officer’s certificate.
March 17 is the last date for submission of filled forms.
The returning officer will send the polling officers to the applicant’s residence and a text message will be sent notifying the date and time of the visit. The officials will issue postal ballots on confirmation of the identity of the application. Voting confidentiality will be ensured.
An official said that postal voting would help in isolation from exposure to coronovirus.
Postal ballots will be issued from 25 March and will continue till 4 April. The founder-director of Sathya School Chitra Shah also addressed the participants.
More than 60 parents and persons with disabilities attended the orientation.
