Jurgen Klopp has challenged Liverpool to salvage a late bid to end their troubled Premier League season in the Final Four. Klopps’ side are in seventh place and are five points ahead of fourth-placed Chelsea in the race to qualify for the Champions League next season. The Reds’ win over the Wolves before the international break was their fourth Premier League win since Christmas, in which they faced defeat eight times.
With only nine games remaining – starting Arsenal’s journey from Saturday – Liverpool boss Klopp knows his team has no margin for error.
“We don’t have too many points but we have a tough schedule at the top, not only in the Premier League but also in the Champions League,” Klopp said on Friday.
“We won’t hesitate, we’ll just go for it and hopefully on Saturday we can do that.”
He said, “It is always a challenge for teams after the international break, in which players come back from their countries with different systems and different matches planned.
“We have a session to get it together again and it is a challenge but we are used to it.
“We know that we can only get what we want for the rest of the season when we win the football game, and the first is Arsenal.”
Klopp has Roberto Fermino back from a knee problem, but the form of Diogo Jota, who scored the winner at the Valves and found the net three times in two World Cup qualifiers for Portugal, could keep him out of favor.
“Diogo is in a good moment, before he leaves and shows up again in the international break,” Clogg said.
“Yes, these are the rare benefits of an international break from the club’s point of view but it is good.”
During the international break, England boss Gareth Southgate suspected Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson’s availability for Euro 2020 following groin surgery in February 2020.
Netherlands coach Frank de Boer has left the door open for Reds defender Virgil van Djack out of October with ACL damage, despite Klopp being ruled out of the club’s rest of the season.
“, I don’t know what about the euro, to be honest. Nothing has changed. They are all in the place they should be at the moment. That’s it. The rest of the time, time will show.”

“I don’t want to take a player away from Holland or England. If they are ready then they are ready, and if they are not ready then I can change it.”
“They are in the rehab process right now, so it’s not for me to make a decision.”
