While Mr. Prabhakar Reddy received 20 votes (18 elected ward members of TDP, one each from CPI and independents) YSR Congress Party candidate Herapuram Fayaz Basha got 18 votes (including two ex-officio members). Similarly, the YSRCP p. Pula Rupa (who won from the toss) was fielded as the vice-chairperson candidate against Saraswati (9th ward). TDP candidates were declared elected.
