While OnePlus is set to expand its one-year-old affordable Nord series with the launch of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G, Poco has also announced that it will bring back its most-popular series, F-series, in India with the launch of Poco F3 GT.
As the days to the launch near, Poco has taken a dig at OnePlus on microblogging platform Twitter. OnePlus’ banner on Amazon for Nord 2 5G says: “Everything you could ask for”. Taking on the same, Poco tweeted, “not your N-ordinary phone.” Below these lines in an image that says, “Poco F3 GT Pretty and a lot lot more. Coming soon. The banner strucks the words “much everything you could ask for” that are there in OnePlus Nord 2’s tagline.

What’s common between OnePlus Nord 2 5G Poco F3 GT: Processor. Almost.
Both the OnePlus Nord 2 5G and Poco F3 GT are going to come powered by MediaTek’s flagship chipset — Dimensity 1200.
Back in May, Poco’s country director Anuj Sharma had revealed that the handset will come powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.
OnePlus confirmed that its Nord 2 5G is set to become the first device from the company to be ever powered by a MediaTek processor. However, it is not going to be the standard Dimensity 1200 SoC but an AI-enhanced version of it. Due to this, the brand refers to the OnePlus Nord 2 5G’s chipset as Dimensity 1200-AI.
Poco F3 GT: Expected price and specs
Online reports have suggested that the Poco F3 GT is the re-branded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition that was launched in China in April.
In China, it was launched at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 23,000) onwards and included specs such as a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, triple rear camera setup that includes a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens and a 5065mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
OnePlus Nord 2 5G: Expected price and specs
The Nord 2 is expected to be the successor to the original OnePlus Nord that sells in India at Rs 24,999 onwards. However, that price point was taken by the recently launched OnePlus Nord CE 5G, which goes up to Rs 29,999. We expect the upcoming Nord 2 5G to be available at this price tag onwards.
Specs wise, the Nord 2 5G is likely to offer a 6.4-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate at least. It is quite likely to house triple rear camera setup and offer at least 30W fast charge support.
