Poco is all set to launch a new C series smartphone in India on September 30 as the company has shared a teaser image mentioning “C U Soon” on its social media handle. Although the company has not revealed any details about the upcoming smartphone yet, it is rumoured that the noon event is slated for the launch of Poco C4 which will be the successor to the Poco C3 that was launched by the company in October last year. As per reports, Poco sold over two million units of the C3 smartphone in the country since its launch.
While officially there is no information about the smartphone that will debut, the news about a new device from Xiaomi spin-off brand was first revealed via listing on Flipkart. A range of products will be launched by Flipkart during the Big Billion Days sale and the teaser of the Poco device was first spotted in that list.
The C4 is expected to be similar to the Redmi 10 as the company’s most affordable smartphone C3 was in the same ballpark as the Redmi 9. To recall, the C3 smartphone features a 6.53-inch display with 20:9 aspect ratio. At the camera front, it gets a triple rear camera setup with a 13MP primary lens and it also gets a 5MP selfie camera. Under the hood, the phone gets an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging.
The Poco C3 smartphone also received a price cut this year. The variant with 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage is currently priced at Rs 7,349 and the variant with 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs 8,349. The storage on the smartphone can be extended upto 512GB through a microSD card.
