Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of the state through video conference on Wednesday about the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the country and the ongoing vaccination campaign.

Sources said the meeting was needed as India’s COVID-19 tally saw a boom with three states accounting for 75% of new cases in Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab.

On the vaccination front, India has crossed the 30 million mark on total immunization and this meeting will also go to speed up the process.
