Google Pixel 5a made an appearance on FCC recently. First spotted by Android Police, the listing suggests that the phone may be launched soon. It does not clearly mention name of the phone, but the FCC information reveals it to be Google Pixel 5a.
The listing confirms three specific model numbers for the phone with varied carrier band support. These models are- G1F8F, GR0M2, and G4S1M. The G1F8F model features LTE band and Sub6 5G bands. It is expected to be the one for the US. There will be no mmWave onboard.
Other models- GR0M2 and G4S1M are said to be international variants of Pixel 5a. But this contradicts with the previous reports which said that the smartphone will only be launched in the US and Japan.
It is rumoured that Google may be holding out on the information about the phone’s availability in other markets. Whatever may be the case, we may not have to wait longer. The phone’s launch may be around the corner, as the FCC listing suggests.
