Parthiv Patel’s birthday: BCCI wishes Parthiv Patel to score 36 runs

For India’s former wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel, she turned 36 on Tuesday. The Board of Control for Cricket in India led the wishes, which also included former team-mates Harbhajan Singh and RP Singh. Parthiv’s wedding anniversary was also celebrated on Tuesday and RP Singh also wished him a happy birthday. The Indian Cricket Board tweeted, “Happy birthday to former #Tandindia wicketkeeper-batsman @ Parthiv9 here.” “Happy Birthday Nikke @ Parthiv9 Always Love,” Harbhajan wrote with Hug Emojis. Former India fast bowler RP Singh wrote, “Happy birthday to both of you.

“Then – two-time IPL champion as an MI player. Now: a part of our setup as a talent scout. #OneFamily: Always. Happy birthday, Parthiv Patel!” Tweeted to the five-time Indian Premier League champions, Mumbai Indians.

Parthiv Patel announced his retirement from all formats of the game in December last year. As “a brilliant ambassador for Indian cricket” by BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, the wicketkeeper-batsman has represented India in 25 Tests, 38 ODIs and two T20Is (T20I).

After playing at the age of 17 in 2002 during India’s Test series in England, he played his last match for India against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2018.

He scored 934 runs at an average of 31.13 in the longest format of the game.

He was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the 2020 season of the IPL, but did not get the game.

He is currently working as a scout with Mumbai Indians.
