Pakistani court orders government to ban social media app TikTok

A private complainant said that the social media app is spreading obscene content.

Pakistan’s telecom regulator said that a Pakistani high court on Thursday said it would order the government to ban the social media app Tikkok in the country.

A high court in the northwestern city of Peshawar said it was ordering a ban after a private complainant spread social media app indecent material, Jehanzeb Mehsud, who represented the Pakistan Telecom Authority in the case, said Reuters.
