The latest edition of the Ovi Vijayan Memorial Literary Awards will be given on Sunday at a ceremony to be held at the Ovi Vijayan Memorial in Thasak near here.
Author T. Padmanabhan, Subhash Chandran and Amal Raj have won awards instituted by the OV Vijayan Memorial Committee last year.
T. Padmanabhan won the award for Best Story, Subhash Chandran for Best Novel and Amal Raj for Best Young Storyteller.
Vaisakhan, president of Kerala Sahitya Akademi, will inaugurate the ceremony. He will present the Best Novel Award to Mr. Subhash Chandran.
KP Mohan, Secretary, Kerala Sahitya Akademi, will award the best story to Mr. Padmanabhan. Both awards include a plaque, a citation and. A cash prize of 25,000 will be included.
Writer Mundur Sethumadhavan will award the best young writer’s story to Mr. Amal Raj. The award will include a plaque, a citation and a cash prize of ₹ 10,000.
TK Narayanadas, President of OV Vijayan Memorial Committee, will preside over the function.
In a jury, TK Sankaranarayanan, PR Jayaseelan, TK Narayanadas and TR Ajayan selected Sri Padmanabhan for the Best Story Award from the title of their books. Killed And Ete Moonnamthe novel.
