Chinese technology company Oppo has launched the second iteration of its Oppo Watch as Oppo Watch 2 in its native market, as per a report by XDA Developers. The smartwatch comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes and in two variants: eSIM and Bluetooth-only. The Bluetooth-only variant comes only in 42mm size.
The Oppo Watch 2 has gone on sale in China. The 42mm eSIM model comes at CNY 1,999 (about Rs 22,882), while the 46mm model goes for 1,499 Chinese yuan (about Rs 17,161). Meanwhile, the Bluetooth-only model is priced at 1,299 Chinese yuan (about Rs 14,871). The company has not yet made any announcements regarding the watch’s availability in the international markets.
With the Oppo Watch 2, the design element has been retained as was first seen on the Oppo Watch, with squarish corners. There is a curved AMOLED display and the Oppo Watch 2 comes powered with Snapdragon’s Wear 4100, an upgrade to Snapdragon 3100 in the predecessor. A custom Apollo 4s co-processor by Ambiq is also added, making the Oppo Watch 2 a dual-chipset smartwatch. It runs ColorOS for Watch based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Oppo claims that the watch (46mm version) could go on for 16 days on a single charge in Power Saver mode and up to 4 days on Smart Mode, thanks to its Ultra Dynamic Dual Engine (UDDE) technology.
The watch comes with over 100 sports modes, SpO2 blood oxygen monitoring, 24 hours heart rate tracking, snoring risk assessment, stress monitoring, and more.
