If you are buying the OnePlus 8T or OnePlus 9R smartphone now then you may be among the lucky ones to get a faster LPDDR5 RAM module. Both the phones ship with LPDDR4X memory modules and the company is reportedly shipping both the phones with LPDDR5 RAM, as per XDA-Developers.
OnePlus hasn’t revealed this information officially yet and the spec sheet still says LPDDR4X RAM. Having said that, the new LPDDR5 RAM module will not offer any drastic difference in performance. So, if you are already using the OnePlus 8T pr 9R there isn’t much reason to fret.
The OnePlus 8T recently received a price drop. The company launched the OnePlus 8T last year in October at a starting price tag of Rs 42,999. This made the smartphone one of the cheapest phones running on Qualcomm 865 chipset. The other phones priced under Rs 40,000 and running on this processor are Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, iQoo 3 5G.
The OnePlus 8T comes in two variants — 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM which is now available at Rs 38,999 and Rs 41,999 after the price cut of Rs 1,000. This is the second price cut for the OnePlus 8T this year. The smartphone saw a cut of Rs 3,000 in February this year, bringing its price to Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM variant.
OnePlus 9R is the most-affordable OnePlus 9 series phone. The OnePlus 9R is priced at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB variant and Rs 43,999 for the 12GB version. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset.
