The handlers of the OnePlus India Twitter page were quick to respond and deleted the tweet immediately but it was already too late. The deleted tweet contained a short clip of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with the caption “The enhanced SPen is my weapon of choice”. Tech enthusiasts on Twitter were quick to take a screenshot of this glitch and soon screenshots of the OnePlus India “social media” blunder started to flood Twitter with hilarious captions.
Unless this was done intentionally to attract eyeballs for some unknown marketing campaign, this tweet may haunt OnePlus India for some time.
Smartphone enthusiasts in India were utterly surprised to see OnePlus promoting a flagship Samsung phone and then the trolling started. OnePlus was earlier caught tweeting from an iPhone to promote the launch of the new OnePlus 9 series phones.

To shut trolls and make things light, OnePlus India accepted that it was a mistake and tweet, “You’re welcome
@SamsungMobile. If you wanna send an “accidental” tweet for the Nord 2, we’d be cool with it.”

Meanwhile, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has said that the OnePlus Nord 2 5G smartphone will launch in India and Europe on July 22, 2021. If reports are to be believed, the new OnePlus Nord 2 5G may start at Rs 29,999. There may be three RAM + storage variants of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G covering the price points of up to Rs 36,000.
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be powered by a MediaTek processor Dimensity 1200 chipset. It will be the first OnePlus smartphone to not come with a Qualcomm chipset.
