OnePlus 9R OxygenOS 11.2.4.4 Update: OnePlus rolls out OxygenOS 11.2.4.4 to OnePlus 9R, brings July Android security patch, Bitmoji avatar and other changes – morningtidings

Smartphone brand OnePlus has released the latest software update to OnePlus 9R. It brings software version OxygenOS 11.2.4.4 to the device along with updated Android security patch, Bitmoji Always on Display (AOD) avatar and updated GMS package.
OnePlus 9R was introduced earlier this year along with OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. It is the company’s affordable flagship phone under the OnePlus 9 series. The smartphone comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 octa-core processor and has a starting price of Rs 39,999.
The update will be rolled out in a phased manner. It will initially be available to a small percentage of users and will eventually have a broader rollout in the coming days.
As mentioned above, the firmware updates Android security patch for OnePlus 9R to the month of July. It also optimizes the overheating control management of third-party applications.
Highlight of the changelog introduced by the update is the introduction of Bitmoji AOD or the personalised Bitmoji avatar. OnePlus has co-designed the Bitmoji AOD with photo-sharing platform Snapchat.
The avatar, OnePlus says, will be updated throughout the day based on the users’ activity and things happening around them. Those interested can enable the Bitmoji AOD from Settings – Customization – Clock on ambient display – Bitmoji.
