One COVID-19 patient died, while 25 new cases were reported in Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday. With 18 patients discharged, the number of active cases in the district stood at 218. A fine of 79 37.14 lakhs has been taken so far for not wearing masks in 36,079 cases.
In Udupi, 33 new cases were reported and seven patients were discharged on Wednesday. The number of active cases was 107.
6,496 persons over 60 years of age and 741 persons aged 45 to 59 with comorbidities have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Dakshina Kannada so far, while 6,251 and above 45 aged over 60 541 persons of age attained the job. So far in Udupi on Wednesday.
In total, 33,238 healthcare workers and 5,976 frontline workers have received the first dose so far, while 18,496 healthcare workers have received the second dose of vaccine in Dakshina Kannada. Similarly, 17,338 healthcare workers and 3,839 frontline workers received the first dose and 13,374 health care workers received the second dose of vaccine in Udupi so far.
