New Zealand cricketer Jimmy Neesham outplayed Bangladesh batsman Tamim Iqbal on Tuesday, showing his fans skills during the New Zealand vs Bangladesh second ODI at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The New Zealand all-rounder threw back the ball to Mushfiqur Rahim, who dropped it to the crease near him and spoke single. Tamim responded but did not take Neesham’s footballing skills into consideration. The New Josander ran towards the striker’s end and flicked the ball well at the crease with Tamim on the stumps with his left foot.

Neesham, who dismissed Tamim, proved to be crucial for New Zealand. The Bangladesh opener was going strong and Neesham’s talent sent him to 78 runs.

New Zealand won the toss and bowled Bangladesh inside. The decision almost came to fruition as Matt Henry was dismissed by Litton Das in the second over.

Tamim and Soumya Sarkar shared a 81-run partnership for the second wicket to give Bangladesh the victory but Mitchell Sentner was later reduced to 32 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim joined his captain at the crease and together they bundled the visiting team for 133 runs. .

After Tamim collapsed, Mohammad Mithun moved in and provided a much-needed inspiration to Bangladesh’s innings. Mithun played a stormy innings of 73 not out, including two fours and two sixes for six runs to Bangladesh at a total of 271 for six in his 50 overs.

New Zealand won the opening ODI by eight wickets after dismissing the Bangladeshis for 131 runs. The hosts achieved the target in 21.2 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.
