Nothing Ear 1 TWS pricing suggests that it is meant for premium smartphone users - Times of India

If you are eagerly waiting for the launch of Nothing Ear 1 TWS earbuds– the first product by the new company started by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, then you may not be pleased by the pricing. The company has revealed the prices of the Nothing Ear 1 TWS and it’s not cheap. In fact, buying the Nothing Ear 1 TWS may only make sense for people using premium smartphones.
The Nothing Ear 1 TWS will come at a price of GBP 99, which translates to Rs 10,200. In India, the pricing may be a bit different depending on local taxes. The earbuds with its unique transparent design and features like active noise cancellation (ANC) aim to take on the Apple AirPods.
For iPhone users, the Nothing Ear 1 TWS may appear as a more affordable alternative to the AirPods and AirPods Pro, if at all they are willing to step outside of Apple’s ecosystem and Siri. Having said that, for Android smartphone users, the Nothing Ear 1 TWS will face tough competition from earbuds from Sony, Samsung, Google Pixel Buds and budget options from Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo and others.
The company has already announced its partnership with Flipkart for selling the Ear 1 earbuds in India. Flipkart will be selling the earbuds with no cost EMI. Nothing was expected to launch the Ear 1 TWS in June but the launch has been pushed back to a later date.
After leaving OnePlus in January 2021, Pei started a new consumer technology brand called Nothing. Headquartered at London, the startup will focus on developing smart and connected consumer electronics. The company hasn’t talked about what kind of products it would be launching after the Nothing Ear 1 TWS.
