CPI candidate for Harur a. Kumar on Thursday rode a bullock cart to file his nomination. Mr. Kumar’s affidavit was for his meager property ownership – his cash was av 1,000 in hand and his wife’s 2,500. The value of the jewelery owned by the candidate’s wife was 4.5 lakhs (120 grams). Mr. Kumar does not own immovable property, and his wife’s self-acquired immovable property was ₹ 9.50 lakh.
