Mining major NMDC Ltd has recorded a 5.5.2% increase in iron ore sales in 2020-21 as compared to 31.51 MT in the last financial year.
Higher sales in iron ore production of the public sector enterprise increased by 8.32% to 34.11 MT (31.49 MT). CMD Sumit Deb said, “It has been a year of challenges for all. Despite these conditions, the team is able to excel on all fronts, including the fight against NMDC COVID, increasing production and sales, and taking care of its community. ”
He expected NMDC to definitely surpass 42 MT in FY22, with a level of enthusiasm and enthusiasm. “With new reforms in mining regulations, NMDC will seek new opportunities for capacity addition,” said Srideb.
A good performance in March when iron ore production increased to 4.57 MT (2.76 MT) and sales rose to 4.08 MT (2.70 MT), which also boosted the annual performance.
A release on the performance of 2020-21 stated that the Bailadila projects in Chhattisgarh were 26.56 MT (24.49 MT), an increase of 8%. Sales from Bailadila projects increased by 6% to 25.85 MT (24.46 MT). The company resumed operations during the fiscal operations at Donimalai’s mines in Karnataka.
