The seized liquor was handed over to the enforcement wing of the Hosur Prohibition and Police Department, and four people were arrested
Flying squads deployed by Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (Tasmac) seized a large consignment of liquor in two villages of Krishnagiri, valued at ₹ 5.13 lakh.
Tasamac sources said that these consignments, most of which were in tetra packs, entered the state from Karnataka. The source said, “One batch was found at a dhaba, while another provision was at the store.”
The seized liquor was handed over to the Hosur Prohibition and Enforcement Wing of the Police Department and four people were arrested.
As soon as the election dates were announced, the Tamil Nadu government’s cash cow, Tasmak, deployed flying squads in all districts to monitor the movement of liquor and ensure that liquor did not enter the state.
