HBO Max is set to release a new documentary focusing on the famous American women’s national team and most importantly, their efforts to achieve equal pay justice.

What is ‘LFG’ documentary?
‘LFG’ is an upcoming documentary produced by HBO Max that centers on the USWNT and the ongoing fight for equal pay.
‘LFG’, short for ‘Let’s F * Kicking Go’, will be an inside look at the team’s fight for equality which began three months before their victorious 2019 World Cup campaign. Squad players Sued US Soccer for gender differences, campaigning for the same financial salary as their men’s team.
The documentary will be shaped by the perspectives and insights of Megan Rapinoe, Jessica McDonald, Becky Soberbran, Kelly O’Hara and Sam Mavis, who have been advocating equal pay measures for the past several years.
In 2020, a judge ruled against the team in its pay discrimination claim.
“This fight is much bigger than myself and the women’s national team,” Rapinoe had said. “We are doing this for the next generation of women football players and women around the world in all industries and fighting for equality in all walks of life.”
‘LFG’ follows USWNT since the lawsuit was filed in March 2019 and similarly promises inside-out talks about the dispute.
