The draw helped Sevilla stay in the La Liga title race with 55 points. Atletico Madrid currently top the table with 63 points, followed by Real Madrid and Barcelona in second and third place respectively.

The race for the La Liga title has been a tight one this season, with four clubs challenging for the top spot. Earlier, Atletico Madrid had taken a healthy lead, but a string of recent poor performances have raised some serious doubts over their title ambitions.
