Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman Karun Nair has started his preparations for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which starts on 9 April. On Tuesday, the right-handed batsman hit the nets to get into the groove. Beginning of IPL 2021. Karun was bought by KKR for an INR 50 lakh (base price) at the IPL auction in February. On Monday, young Indian batsman Shubman Gill, fast bowler Prasidh Krishna and captain Eoin Morgan joined the KKR camp.
Indian players Shubman Gill and Prisidh and England’s Morgan were with their national teams for the three-match ODI series till Sunday.
Morgan missed the last two ODIs of the series against India in Pune due to injury during the first ODI.
Earlier, KKR head coach Brendon McCullum arrived in Mumbai ahead of the upcoming edition of the IPL.
According to the BCCI’s SOP for IPL 2021, all players (except those from the India-England series), support staff and management entering the bubble have to undergo a seven-day quarantine in their hotel room.

Each person will be tested several times during this period, and upon returning negative results, they will be allowed to come out of their room and begin an external training and practice session.
IPL 2021 will begin with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 9 April with the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the season opener. KKR will play their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 11 April.
