Kerala Election: Kerala Congress in a tie over election symbol

After its merger with the PC Thomas faction, the party tried to reclaim its old symbol ‘Cycle’, which was not interrupted due to the delay in approaching the ECI. The uncertainty over the symbol also forced candidates to delay filing nominations until Friday afternoon, with just one-two hours for the delay. In view of the confusion, the party candidates submitted three sets of nominations demanding different election symbols and the dummy nominations would be withdrawn on the allotment of the desired mark.
