The Karnataka budget of 2021-22 is being presented in the state legislature today.
This is the second full budget of the BJP government in this term. The budget is presented amidst severe financial difficulties presented by the state due to COVID-19.
Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, who also has a finance department, has held budget-related meetings with ministers and officials of several departments.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa started the presentation for 2021-22 at 12 noon amid opposition from the Congress.
Members of Congress held a walkout claiming the government had no moral right to present the budget.
