After his demise on Thursday, the heartbeat, eyes and body of the Oxogenian wife of film artist Kakarla Satyanarayana’s wife were donated.
Kakrala Suryakantham, also known as Kankari, wished to donate his eyes to the LV Prasad Eye Institute and the body appointed Osmania Medical College after his death.
After his death at the age of 82, his family fulfilled his wish by donating, a press statement by Amarula Bandhu Mitrula Sangham (Martyrs Family and Friends Association) said, of which the couple took membership.
Ms. Suryakantham made a statement throughout her life as committed to alternative political values and culture. She voluntarily sent two of her girls to the revolutionary movement, and remained devoted to values, it said. A condolence meeting was organized by the union on Friday to condole his death.
