Move to Mac?
Justin Fields has a second pro day on April 14, giving teams a second opportunity to scout and travel with the Ohio State quarterback. The 49ers, who had a first-day appearance at the fields that did not include head coach Kyle Shanahan and GM John Lynch, are expected to attend the event.
To make matters more interesting, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that both Lynch and Sheenahan are expected to be in attendance

MORE: The 49ers are taking in the latest NFL mock draft
Intrigue, to say the least. If pre-draft speculation is to be believed, Fields has fallen from QB2 to a questionable top 10 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and the 49ers, sitting at No. 3 overall pick, are rumored to be hot after Alaska quarterback Mack Jones. .
The 49th Brain Trust missed out on Fields’ first day, while in Alabama’s pro day, looking at the talent of the Crimson Tide, including Jones. Analysts believe Fields’ All-World Athleticism and out-of-Ohio State production put him strongly ahead of Jones of Alabama.
San Francisco made the first huge move of the 2021 draft cycle, trading all the way from No. 12 to No. 3, giving him a shot at drafting at least one of the top five quarterbacks, a list that includes Jones, Fields. Zach Wilson of BYU, Trevor Lawrence of Clemson and Trey Lance of North Dakota State.
Lawrence and Wilson are expected to go 1-2 at the Jaguars and Jets respectively, with the 49ers largely left with speculation that they traded for Jones on Fields.
Now with a second trip to see Fields, the conversation for who’s going to number 3 just got more interesting.
