Actor Rajinikanth may appear before Justice Aruna Jegadeesan Commission for Justice without fear of contract of COUID-19 as its premises are more secure than sets Annathe, For which the shooting is going on, said commission counsel Arul Vadivel.
The commission is investigating the killing of 13 people in police firing in anti-Sterlite demonstrations.
Summoned twice
Speaking to media persons in Thoothukudi on Friday, after the 26th meeting of the Commission, Mr. Vadivel said that Mr. Rajinikanth did not appear before the Commission citing various reasons. Mr. Rajinikanth was called in February 2020 and January 2021 for his comments that he had credible evidence to prove that anti-social elements had infiltrated the protests, and this led to police firing.
‘In-camera session’
“It’s a camera in the presence of five people, including a counselor, and it’s not the same as a set Annathe Where there will be a big gathering. Therefore, the premises of the Commission are safer than this. Annathe Set, ”said Mr. Vadivel.
He said that when the firing took place, the commission would also investigate the police personnel posted at the protest site and the collectorate.
