ISSF World Cup: India’s Abhishek Verma and Yashaswini Deswal won bronze in the 10m air rifle mixed team

India’s Abhishek Verma and Yashaswini Singh Deswal won bronze in the ISSF World Cup Air Rifle Mixed Team event on Monday. He defeated Turkey to finish third in the event.

Taking an 8–0 lead in the first four series, the ‘India 2’ team dominated from the start, before Turkey returned to a 10–8 draw after nine series.

Both teams shared a point appearance after finishing the 10th series in a tie.

Turkey then lowered the level to 11–11.

But the Indian pair again ran away to gain a four-point lead, and despite Turkey editing a series to make it 15–13, Verma and Deshwal won the bronze medal match 17–13. Caught his nerves.
